Security alert in Ras El Ma after migration attempts to the Chafarinas Islands

The Ras El Ma area in the province of Nador was placed on security and military alert on Monday, September 7, following the arrival of migrants from sub-Saharan Africa attempting to reach the nearby Chafarinas Islands.
Royal Gendarmerie, Royal Armed Forces, and Royal Navy elements were deployed extensively along the coastline, with reinforced surveillance day and night.
