Suspect Arrested in Murder of Woman in Oujda with Hunting Rifle

Judicial police in Oujda, in coordination with national security in Nador, arrested early Monday, September 7, a 58-year-old man suspected of murder with a hunting rifle.
The arrest followed the discovery Sunday evening in Oujda of the body of a 40-year-old woman with two gunshot wounds.
Ballistic tests confirmed the shots came from a hunting rifle.
The suspect was tracked down and arrested in Nador as he was about to leave the country.
Two cartridge cases were seized.
The suspect, a Moroccan resident abroad, is said to have had a prior relationship with the victim.
He has been placed in custody for investigation under the supervision of the prosecutor.
