The National Institute of Geophysics recorded this Friday an earthquake of magnitude 5.6 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter off the coast of the province of Driouch.
The tremor occurred at 1:35 p.m.
local time, at a depth of 17 kilometers.
The institute located the epicenter at 35.592 degrees north latitude and 3.625 degrees west longitude.
No material or human damage has been reported so far, and the institute continues to monitor seismic activity in the region.
