During oral questions in parliament on 13 November 2023, MP Younes Achn noted that the Ministry of Transport and Logistics has made progress in railway development, but some regions remain excluded.
He said the province of Driouch, now an economic hub thanks to the Nador West Med port and the motorway, has no train station, while Nador province has three.
He called on the minister to re-examine the project to include Driouch, arguing that the lack of such infrastructure contradicts principles of territorial and social equity.
