The Minister of Industry and Commerce clarified the fate of the industrial zone in Driouch, in response to a parliamentary question, affirming that the government attaches great importance to developing industrial infrastructure in the provinces.
The minister indicated that the Driouch industrial zone is part of a national strategy to boost investment and create jobs in the Oriental region.
He added that the ministry is working to provide suitable industrial land and encourage investors to establish their projects in the zone, by improving reception conditions and rehabilitating basic facilities.
He also stressed the zone's importance in supporting the local economy and reducing territorial disparities, recalling major projects in the region, such as the Nador West Med port.
The minister did not provide further details on the timeline or budget for the project, but assured that studies are underway to determine the zone's actual needs.
