Driouch regional hospital opens with 150-bed capacity
The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khaled Ait Taleb, accompanied by the Wali of the Oriental region, Mouad El Jamai, and the Governor of Driouch province, Mohamed Rouchdi, launched on Saturday the services of the Driouch regional hospital.
Built on an area of 17,850 square meters with a budget of 238 million dirhams, in partnership between the ministry, the Oriental regional council, and the provincial council, it has a capacity of 150 beds.
It includes emergency, surgery, medicine, and mother-child departments, as well as a dialysis unit and a rehabilitation center.
The services target the province's population, estimated at about 200,000 people, as well as residents of neighboring areas.
The hospital is equipped with modern technology, including 8 intensive care beds, 4 operating rooms, 5 dialysis generators, and a CT scanner.
A team of 7 general practitioners, 15 specialists, 92 nurses and technicians, and 17 administrative staff will provide care.
This project is part of the reform of the health system and the expansion of health coverage in Morocco.
