Residents of several territorial communities in Driouch province are suffering from the severe deterioration of the road linking Tafersit, Mhajer, Bni Tijit, and Mtalssa, a major axis for daily travel.
Locals call this road the "road of death" due to its danger, as the infrastructure is aged, eroded, and riddled with deep potholes threatening the safety of users.
They are calling on the competent authorities to intervene urgently to widen and repair this section, denouncing the lack of serious maintenance for years despite repeated complaints.
Associative actors stress that the road constitutes a vital economic and social artery for the region and that its neglect increases the suffering of residents and traffic accidents.
Residents hope that provincial and regional officials will pay attention to these demands within the framework of development plans for the rural world.
