Abdellaziz Zaki, project manager of the Beni Aziman Dam, announced that works have reached 71% and completion is expected in December 2025 instead of December 2026.
The dam is located on the Kert River in the Tlat Azlaf commune, 25 km from Driouch, with a height of 70 meters and a capacity of 44 million m3, with an investment of 1.4 billion dirhams.
It is the first of its kind in Morocco of the mixed type (concrete and compacted earth).
It aims to secure drinking water, irrigation, and flood protection.
It has created more than 600,000 workdays.
The project is part of the national water program 2020-2027.
