The official launch of construction of a massive tire manufacturing plant took place on Monday in the Btouya free zone, in the province of Driouch, with an investment of over $675 million from the Chinese group Shandong Yongsheng Rubber through its subsidiary GOLDENSUN TIRE MOROCCO.
The project covers 52 hectares near the Nador West Med port, offering a strategic location for access to European and African markets.

The complex includes an integrated production unit for car tires according to international standards and advanced logistics facilities.
Work is expected to be completed in early 2027, with local and economic officials present at the launch ceremony.
