Earthquake of magnitude 4.5 off the coast of Driouch

The National Institute of Geophysics announced the recording of an earthquake of magnitude 4.5 on the Richter scale in the early hours of Monday, May 27, 2024, off the coast of the province of Driouch.
According to an alert bulletin, the epicenter, located off the coast, was recorded at a depth of 16 kilometers, at latitude 35.531 degrees north and longitude 3.502 degrees west.
Residents of the region felt the tremor, with no reports of material or human damage.
