Beni Aziman Dam in Driouch reaches 79% completion

Construction work on the Beni Aziman Dam in Driouch province continues at an accelerated pace, reaching a progress rate of 79%, after reducing the construction period by about a year.
The dam is located on the Kert River in the Thalat Azlaf commune, 25 kilometers from the city of Driouch, and is expected to be completed in December 2025.
It has a height of 70 meters and is of the mixed type (concrete and compacted earth), with a storage capacity of 44 million cubic meters.
All work is carried out by 100% Moroccan expertise, including placing compacted concrete in the main dam, placing earth on both banks, installing metal pipes for drinking water and irrigation, and work in the chamber of discharge valves and water intakes.
The work also includes precise inspection and monitoring of the dam.
The project aims to secure drinking water supply for the population, support agriculture through irrigation water, and reduce flood risks.
The dam embodies a model of projects based on national expertise and reflects Morocco's commitment to strengthening its water resources and addressing climate challenges.
