Al Hoceima: 10 strategic projects to boost development and reshape the city
The city of Al Hoceima is preparing for a new development phase with the launch of ten major projects covering water, economy, transport, culture, and sports.
Among the most notable is the Oued Ghiss dam, with an investment of 1.38 billion dirhams and a storage capacity of 93 million cubic meters, contributing to drinking water supply and irrigation of 1,300 hectares of farmland.
The Mediterranean Sea Center, with an architectural design inspired by marine creatures, is also under construction, combining science and tourism.
In the economic field, the Ait Kamara economic activity zone is launching investments worth 65 million dirhams to create thousands of jobs.
Other projects include a seawater desalination plant, the social housing program "Al Diar Al Jadida", strengthening roads and bridges, expanding Chérif Al Idrissi airport for 180 million dirhams, building a large stadium with a capacity of 11,000 spectators, a large theater of 7,000 square meters, and an Olympic swimming pool.
These projects aim to improve the quality of life and enhance the city's economic and tourist appeal.
