Royal Gendarmerie officers succeeded last Saturday in seizing 7 tons of cannabis resin that were aboard a truck in the Issaguen region, in the province of Al Hoceima.
Based on intelligence information, the truck, driven by two people, was intercepted and both occupants were arrested on the spot.
The truck and the large quantity of narcotics were seized, while the driver and his companion were placed in custody for further investigation before being brought to justice.
This operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
