Spanish solidarity fleet arrives in Ceuta in civilian movement
The city of Ceuta witnessed a notable maritime movement, with the arrival of about a hundred civilian boats from southern Spain in an initiative called the 'Solidarity Fleet with Ceuta', to express support for the city's residents amid the crisis it has been experiencing since late July.
The boats gathered in Ceuta's bay, flying Spanish flags and flags of the city, sounding their horns and chanting slogans such as 'You are not alone'.
The boats left Ceuta's sports port and sailed along the coast, while hundreds of residents gathered to applaud them.
A gathering of motorcyclists was also organized in the city.
Organizers stress that the movement is civilian and peaceful, aiming to defend security, coexistence, and territorial integrity, in a tense context following the wave of mass entry of migrants.
