Tunisian firefighting teams, supported by the army and aviation, have brought under control a massive fire that broke out in Jbel Nador, in the Bizerte region, after destroying vast forest areas.
Eight women and six infants were evacuated to a temporary shelter.
The authorities activated the "green plan" for rescue, and efforts continue to extinguish remaining hotspots and prevent new fires as temperatures rise.
The authorities have not yet announced the affected areas.
Tunisia loses thousands of hectares annually due to fires and climate change.
