The city of Al Hoceima is hosting from August 7 to 16 the regional fair of handicrafts and social and solidarity economy, organized on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the Throne Day.
The event is organized by the State Secretariat for Handicrafts in partnership with the Chamber of Handicrafts of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, under the supervision of the province and with the support of the municipality.
The fair is held at the Bachawiya square on an area of about 1000 square meters, with 72 to 75 stands, featuring artisans from the region and from all over Morocco.
It showcases a variety of products: traditional weaving, carpets, ceramics, pottery, ironwork, Moroccan tailoring, etc.
Officials emphasize that this event allows artisans to showcase their products and open new markets, while offering visitors and the Moroccan diaspora the opportunity to discover the national heritage.
It also contributes to the tourism promotion of the city.
