A young man in his twenties died on Sunday after being electrocuted by a high-voltage power pole in the commune of Tafraout, in the province of Al Hoceima.
According to local sources, the victim had climbed the pole to repair a lamp before being electrocuted.
His body was transferred to the morgue of the provincial hospital, and security services opened an investigation.
Authorities constantly warn against climbing or approaching electrical poles, as they pose a danger to human life.
