Al Hoceima Marina, overlooking the Mediterranean, is experiencing a continuous influx during the summer season, with Moroccan families and tourists arriving to enjoy its leisure facilities.
On the stone quays, sailboats, yachts, and boats sit side by side, while visitors stroll along the port, and others choose to sail in its waters.
This activity reflects the status of Al Hoceima Marina, opened in 2016 as part of the redevelopment project of Al Hoceima port, and which currently has 205 berths, on a total area of 2.5 hectares, with about one hectare used for the marina basin.
Thanks to this development, Al Hoceima Marina has become one of the main leisure sites attracting visitors to the city, an attractiveness that earned it, last month, the Blue Flag label, in recognition of the quality of its management and efforts to maintain environmental, safety, and sustainable development standards.
The Blue Flag label is awarded annually by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection, chaired by HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, in partnership with the Foundation for Environmental Education.
