Fatima Zahra Bata, a member of the parliamentary group of the Justice and Development Party, sent a written question to the Minister of Health and Social Protection about the worrying situation at Al-Hassani Hospital in Nador, which has lasted for about six months due to the absence of a radiology specialist.
She explained that this absence has led to a near-total paralysis of the radiology department and the suspension of several vital examinations needed for patients coming from different communes of the province.
She noted that this situation has severely affected users, especially cancer patients who are now unable to undergo examinations related to monitoring their health condition and determining appropriate treatment protocols, forcing them to resort to private clinics and bear exorbitant costs exceeding their financial means, which constitutes a clear violation of their constitutional right to care.
Bata asked about the reasons for the continued absence of the specialist and the urgent measures the ministry intends to take to ensure the resumption of the department's services and alleviate the suffering of patients, especially those with cancer.
