The Nador West Med port area is preparing to host Africa's largest tire manufacturing plant, with a Chinese investment of over $675 million from the Shandong Yongsheng Rubber group.
The project will cover 52 hectares near the port, facilitating exports to European and African markets.
Production capacity will be about 18 million tires per year, strengthening the national industrial system of the automotive sector and local supply chains.
The project is expected to create jobs and attract related investments.
This investment confirms Morocco's attractiveness for international industrial investments thanks to its strategic location, infrastructure, and trade agreements.
