The office of the association of young lawyers of Nador-Driouch announced its adoption of the positions and demands of the federation of associations of young lawyers of Morocco, contained in a statement dated August 25, rejecting what they called a 'legislative regression', and called for continuing the protest and ceasing the provision of professional services.
This position comes in the context of opposition to Law No.
66.23 relating to the organization of the legal profession, which young lawyers consider an infringement on their professional rights and independence.
Young lawyers in Nador insist on the need to reverse this law and engage in serious dialogue with professional bodies to reach a formula that preserves the interests of the profession and guarantees the rights of lawyers.
They also stress the continuation of mobilization and protest until their demands are met, pending the response of the competent authorities.
