€196.7 million loan for Nador West Med container terminal
Marsa Maroc announced that West Med Container Terminal (WMCT), operator of the eastern terminal of Nador West Med port, signed a long-term loan agreement of €196.7 million with a consortium of Moroccan banks.
The consortium includes Attijariwafa Bank as lead coordinator, and Banque Centrale Populaire and Bank of Africa as coordinators.
The 15-year loan is intended to partially finance the costs of the first phase of the terminal, with a total investment of about €253 million.
The terminal is expected to start operations in the fourth quarter of 2026, within the project's financing plan.
