Field visits to assess readiness of Nador beaches for summer season
The provincial authority of the prefecture of Nador conducted field visits on May 2 and 3 to several beaches in the province as part of preparations for the summer season.
The visits, led by the provincial governor, Jamal Chaarani, covered the beaches of Arkman, Sidi El Bachir, Ras El Ma, the artificial beach on the Nador corniche, Boukana, and Bni Chiker, with a later visit planned for the beaches of the Izennane commune.
These visits provided a comprehensive picture of the current situation of these sites, identifying the main deficiencies and constraints that could affect the quality of reception during the summer.
The inspections focused on improving access and pathways, enhancing public lighting, increasing the frequency of cleaning operations, as well as assessing safety and health conditions.
The state of signage at entrances, mechanisms for surveillance and control, the availability of sanitary facilities, and the arrangement of parking lots were also examined.
The provincial authority emphasized the importance of launching awareness and educational campaigns for vacationers to strengthen environmental awareness and encourage responsible behaviors to preserve the cleanliness and sustainability of coastal areas.
These actions are part of efforts to improve beach management and enhance their attractiveness, ensuring safe and organized spaces that meet the expectations of visitors for the summer of 2026.
