The governor of Nador province, Jamal Chaarani, presided over a ceremony commemorating the anniversary of the Prophet's birth at the Grand Mohammed VI Mosque in Nador.
Officials, elected representatives, civil, security and military figures, as well as scholars, imams and civil society actors attended the event.
The ceremony included prayers for the protection of King Mohammed VI, the Crown Prince and the royal family.
The occasion aims to consolidate the values of moderation, tolerance and fraternity, and to draw lessons from the Prophet's biography.
The ceremony concluded with prayers for the King and for Morocco's security, stability and prosperity.
