Nador Provincial Council launches strategic study to develop transport and logistics connectivity

On instructions from the provincial governor, the Nador Provincial Council is preparing to launch a comprehensive strategic study aimed at reassessing and developing the transport system and logistics connectivity, in anticipation of economic flows related to the commissioning of the Nador West Med port.
The study will include a diagnosis of existing infrastructure, particularly national roads No.
2, 16, 15 and 19, identifying congestion points and assessing the impact of heavy truck traffic.
It will also compare scenarios to improve connectivity, such as developing existing infrastructure, creating dedicated truck routes, adopting intelligent traffic management systems, and promoting rail and maritime transport.
The study will culminate in an integrated master plan for multimodal connectivity, with a practical program for the short, medium and long term, including costs and financing.
Observers consider this step essential to ensure the success of the new port as an economic and logistics hub and to enhance the region's attractiveness for investment.
