Construction work has begun on Africa's largest tire manufacturing factory in Nador, with an investment of over 675 million US dollars, led by the Chinese group Shandong Yongsheng Rubber.
The project covers 52 hectares near the Nador West Med port, in a strategic location facilitating exports to European, African, and international markets.
This investment is part of the economic dynamism of the Oriental region, thanks to major projects like the Nador West Med port, which will become a major commercial and industrial port.
The factory will create direct and indirect jobs, stimulate the local economy, and strengthen Morocco's integration into global value chains of the automotive industry.
The Chinese group's choice of Nador reflects confidence in Morocco due to its political stability, logistical development, and investment incentives.
This project is expected to be an economic turning point for the Oriental region and strengthen Nador's position as an emerging industrial and logistics hub connecting Europe and Africa.
