Five killed in crash on the N16 near Arekmane

Five people died in a serious traffic accident on Friday on national road 16, between Arekmane and Berkane in Nador province.
Four people died at the scene before the toll rose to five, while several people were injured to varying degrees.
After being alerted, Royal Gendarmerie officers, Civil Protection teams and local authorities went to the site, where the area was secured and the injured were taken to hospital for necessary treatment, while the victims' bodies were transferred to the morgue.
The competent services opened an investigation under the supervision of the public prosecutor to establish the circumstances and responsibilities.
