Security services in Nador arrested a person suspected of trafficking cocaine.
The arrest came as part of surveillance and sweep operations aimed at tracking down networks dealing in hard drugs.
The suspect was placed in custody at the disposal of the judicial investigation, pending appearance before the competent prosecutor's office.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
