New Selouane provincial hospital nears completion

The new provincial hospital in Selouane, south of Nador, is nearing completion, with works about 99% finished and an opening planned for April 2026.
The project covers 161,193 square metres, of which 26,562 are covered, with a capacity of 250 beds and a cost of around 560 million dirhams.
It will include departments for surgery, general medicine, mother and child care, emergency, intensive care, medical imaging, laboratory testing and dentistry, alongside a pharmacy, sterilisation unit and morgue.
The aim is to strengthen public healthcare for residents across the province's 23 communes, which have long lacked advanced health infrastructure.
