The anti-gang unit of the Rabat police, in coordination with the Directorate General for Territorial Surveillance, arrested on Tuesday morning in Salé the suspect nicknamed "Moussa Felkoun", after locating his hideout using precise intelligence.
Seen as a key figure in organised crime, he is suspected of hard drug trafficking, score-settling and human trafficking.
His record shows he was wanted in 51 cases by the national police and the royal gendarmerie.
His name was also linked to a controversial wedding in Azghanghan last August.
The prosecutor ordered his custody to deepen the investigation into his possible networks.
