A new transport line linking Marrakech and Nador has entered service, passing through Beni Mellal, Kasba, Agbalou, Kabbab, Khenifra, Fes and Tahla.
The route answers a long-standing demand from residents of mountain areas, particularly Agbalou, Tizi Nisly and Kasba, who faced major difficulties in daily travel.
The new service offers an additional option towards key urban, economic and educational centres, easing the isolation of some mountain localities.
Citizens say strengthening the network does more than ease travel: it also improves access to education, jobs, services and public offices.
Residents hope the line marks the start of further initiatives connecting the mountains with the cities.
