Young man from Tamsint dies in road accident in Ajdir near Al Hoceima

A young man from the commune of Tamsint died on Thursday, 17 September 2026, in a road accident in the Ajdir area, at the entrance to the city of Al Hoceima.
The victim was riding a motorcycle when he struck a waste container placed at the roadside, suffering severe head injuries.
After being alerted, Royal Gendarmerie officers and Civil Protection teams went to the scene and took the injured man, in critical condition, to the emergency department of the Mohammed VI Regional Hospital Centre in Aït Youssef Ouali.
Despite medical interventions, he died of his injuries.
The Royal Gendarmerie opened a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor's office to establish the circumstances of the accident and determine responsibility.
