The province of Nador is undergoing rapid economic transformation driven by the Nador West Med port project.
Several industrial and logistics zones are being prepared, including Oulad Settout, covering 500 hectares near national road 2 and five kilometres from Zaio, whose delay worries residents.
In Al Aaroui, a 90-hectare logistics platform is planned in the Al Omrane district, linked to the port by new roads and a railway line, with thousands of jobs expected.
The commune of Amejjaou in Driouch province is attracting Chinese companies.
Realisation nevertheless depends on speeding up works and connecting these zones to major infrastructure.
