At two campaign rallies in Guercif and Taourirt, Fouzi Lekjaa, a member of the PAM political bureau and minister delegate for the budget, pledged to build a motorway linking Guercif to the Nador West Med port, describing it as an artery that would bring the province closer to the Mediterranean coast and new logistics hubs.
He also promised to strengthen healthcare provision and reduce residents' need to travel to other cities for treatment, and to tackle the water crisis through hill dams and a possible connection to the desalination plant planned in Nador.
He tied these pledges to his party leading the next government, setting 2031 as the target horizon, and included a commitment to curb rising prices.
