The Al Hoceima Theatre Club is premiering its new production «Amar / Adaɛthiɣ» on Thursday 17 September 2026 at the Prince Moulay El Hassan cultural centre.
Written by Ahmed Sabiâ and directed by Youssef El Arkoubi, the play stars Houda Abair and Mohamed Bensaïd.
It follows a married couple in a closed domestic setting before deeper tensions emerge around self-image, the gaze of others and social acceptance.
The staging blends realism, the grotesque and dark comedy, and is performed in Riffian Amazigh.
Supported by the Ministry of Youth and Culture, the production will later tour Imzouren, El Hajeb and Taza.
