The city of Driouch hosted the founding regional congress of the youth wing of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) for the Eastern region, attended by party leaders, lawmakers and heads of local councils.
The congress ended with the election of Karim El Mounni as head of the party's regional youth organisation, a move seen as part of efforts to strengthen young people's involvement in political life in the region.
On the sidelines, a political gathering in Driouch brought together party figures and local elected officials, including politburo member Ahmed Touizi and MP Rafik Majait.
The meeting comes ahead of upcoming political milestones in the area.
