The administrative court of appeal in Fès upheld a ruling by the administrative court in Oujda dismissing six deputy mayors of the municipality of Selouane in Nador province, after rejecting a request by three of them to suspend enforcement.
The provincial governor had filed the case over serious administrative irregularities.
Three of those affected did not appeal, making the ruling final for them.
Four of the deputies belong to the National Rally of Independents and two to the Authenticity and Modernity Party, amid a wave of legal proceedings against local officials since the 2021 elections.
