The Directorate General of Meteorology has issued an orange-level alert for several provinces of the Kingdom, including Nador, Driouch and Al Hoceima.
Strong wind gusts with blowing dust, reaching 70 to 80 km/h, are expected in Figuig, Taourirt and Jerada, from 2 pm to 11 pm.
Thunderstorms with hail and locally strong gusts, bringing 20 to 30 mm of rain, are also forecast in several provinces including Sefrou, Boulmane, Al Hoceima, Berkane, Taza, Taounate, Moulay Yacoub, Fez, Ifrane, El Hajeb, Taourirt, Oujda-Angad, Jerada, Guercif, Driouch and Nador, from 2 pm today until noon on Friday.
Authorities are urging caution.
