Zakia Driouch announced in Tarfaya her support for Mohamed Salem Bahia, known as Fano, the National Rally of Independents' list leader in the Tarfaya constituency for the legislative elections set for 23 September 2026.
She said fishermen's interests find in Fano a defender and that he is best placed to represent the province in parliament.
Fano chairs the Tarfaya provincial council and points to his record on health, education, employment, fisheries and the maritime link with the Canary Islands.
Several candidates are competing for the constituency's two parliamentary seats.
