Abdelhalim Foutat, president of the municipal grouping and mayor of Bni Ansar, officially launched the company tasked with waste management in the municipalities of Bni Ansar and Azghanghan, alongside the secretary-general of Nador province.
The ceremony brought together the company's general manager, public service chiefs and elected officials, and showcased the vehicles to be used for refuse collection.
Foutat said the new company has secured all equipment required under the tender specifications and urged residents to cooperate in tackling the spread of waste.
He noted that past mistakes had been taken into account and that awareness campaigns would accompany the service.
