The local scientific council of Nador province, in coordination with the provincial delegation for Islamic affairs, organised a Quran memorisation and recitation competition at the learning centre of the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq mosque in Azghanghan.
Participants competed at several levels, including the ten-hizb and five-hizb categories, and a student who memorised Surah Al-Baqara in a short time was honoured.
At the closing ceremony, winners were announced and prizes and certificates were handed out in an atmosphere of pride, stressing the importance of connecting young people to the holy book.
