The commemorations of the 107th anniversary of the death of Chérif Sidi Mohamed Amziane concluded in Azghanghan, organised by the Memory and Future association in partnership with the Nador provincial council.
The programme included a scientific symposium on Moroccan resistance to colonisation in the Rif, with historians and researchers discussing the experience of Chérif Amziane, the movement of Mohamed ben Abdelkrim El Khattabi and the Liberation Army.
Field visits following the resistance fighter's footsteps, tributes to families of resistance figures and cultural activities and exhibitions also marked the event.
