A provincial committee has begun work in the Azghanghan district of Nador province to investigate urban planning files that have sparked wide local debate.
It includes the province's secretary-general, the head of internal affairs, the urban agency director, the Azghanghan caid and the heads of urban planning and territorial collectivities.
Its tasks cover reviewing administrative documents and conducting field visits to sites suspected of hosting clandestine subdivisions.
It will also visit the municipal headquarters to inspect files and hear officials, examining building permits and housing certificates.
