Young people from the commune of Azghanghan, in Nador province, cleaned up the Sidi Ahmed Abdel Salam cemetery, clearing accumulated waste, weeds and brush.
The initiative, called «We Are Here», was carried out in coordination with the commune and in response to a call circulated on social media, with citizens of all ages taking part.
Local authorities provided a bulldozer, a truck and workers, while one participant rented additional machinery.
Organisers are calling for a permanent budget to maintain the cemetery throughout the year.
