Selouane University opens Philosophy department for first time

The dean of the multidisciplinary faculty in Selouane has announced the creation of a Philosophy department, offering bachelor's and master's degrees, starting next academic year.
The announcement was made during the June session of the Nador provincial council.
Lecturers are already lined up for the new programme, and strong student interest is expected.
Meanwhile, students from Nador complain that the University of Fez refuses to enrol them in psychology or philosophy, requiring proof of residence in Fez, which has left hundreds without a place.
