Al Hoceima: Three Arrested After Police Officer Killed

The public prosecutor at the Al Hoceima Court of Appeal said the main suspect in the case of the Al Hoceima criminal network is under police guard receiving treatment, after being shot in the leg when police used their service weapon in self-defence.
Security forces arrested two other members of the same network at a private clinic, where they remain under guard pending an improvement in their condition.
A drone and the hunting rifle used in the crime were seized.
The main suspect, wanted under national search notices, fired from the roof of a house in Amzouren during his arrest attempt, killing a police officer and wounding two gendarmes and a civilian.
Others tried to obstruct the operation using two vehicles.
The prosecution denied reports circulating on social media and stressed strict enforcement of the law.
