The situation of several homes in the Tariq district of Al Hoceima is back in the spotlight after local complaints about repeated rentals for very short periods, sometimes around an hour, with a continuous flow of people at various times, including late at night.
The properties are located near the residence of the province's secretary-general, in a residential and administrative area.
Residents say they do not object to renting as such, but to how some properties are used and to the very short durations, urging local authorities and security services to verify the legality of these operations.
Some accounts mention behaviour attributed to users, including alcohol consumption and illegal practices, but these remain allegations requiring verification, in the absence of official inspections, while respecting the presumption of innocence.
