Royal Gendarmerie elements in Bni Hadifa, in the province of Al Hoceima, arrested a person suspected of possessing and trafficking hard drugs during a routine check at a control post.
The search of a passenger bus led to the discovery of approximately 50 grams of cocaine hidden in the luggage of a passenger.
The suspect was taken to the gendarmerie station and placed in custody as part of the investigation supervised by the competent prosecutor, to determine the source of the drugs and smuggling routes.
This operation is part of the ongoing efforts of the Royal Gendarmerie in the province of Al Hoceima to combat drug trafficking and strengthen control on transport routes linking different areas of the province.
