New rural health center opens in Al Hoceima province
The level 2 rural health center 'Bni Jmil Maksouline' in Al Hoceima province went into service on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, as one of 15 primary health care facilities rehabilitated and equipped in six regions of the Kingdom.
This center is part of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection's efforts to bring basic health services closer to the rural population and improve reception and orientation conditions.
The 15 facilities together target a population of over 375,000 people, and 50 health professionals have been mobilized to provide medical and nursing services.
Services include general medical consultations, nursing care, follow-up of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and respiratory diseases, as well as maternal and child health follow-up, school health, epidemiological surveillance and mobile health.
This measure is part of the national program to rehabilitate 1,600 primary health care facilities, including 500 in 2026, within the framework of reforming the health system and strengthening the care offer.
