The Nador West Med port continues to strengthen its position as one of Morocco's strategic projects to enhance its maritime and energy presence in the Mediterranean.
The project aims to transform the eastern region into an investment and industrial hub, particularly in renewable energy, international trade, and logistics services.
The port benefits from its proximity to international shipping lanes and the Strait of Gibraltar, giving Morocco an advantage in bunkering services and securing supplies, especially after the Ukrainian crisis redrew the European energy map.
Experts emphasize that the project goes beyond the port dimension to include the kingdom's maritime and energy sovereignty.
